The Belle Epoque in Knutsford is a famed wedding venue, hosting a multitude of weddings a year, and sometimes 3 or 4 in a week. When this couple hired me for their wedding photography I was excited to get to work in this lovely venue.
As a Knutsford Photographer I knew the venue quite well, I had actually looked around it for my own wedding nearly 10 years ago, I also have been to a few events at the Belle Epoque so was familiar with the layout. The Belle Epoque is a stunning venue with a touch of baroque it is decorated mostly in my favourite colour – Purple.
Winter wedding at the Belle Epoque Knutsford
The wedding was in winter and the venue is very dark so I knew to get the ‘money’ shots I’d need to make use of Off Camera Flash, natural light photography just wouldn’t be enough.
I spent the day with the beautiful bride and her bridal party so I could take photos of her getting ready. As the venue is fully booked out the tables were already laid and flowers set up so in the morning I was also able to take photos of those special details all couples want to remember from their big day.
The Belle Epoque has recently renovated a little room that sits adjacent to the bridal suite which was a lovely little place for the bride to get ready with a chez lounge and lots of mirrors for the Make up artist and hairdresser.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at the Belle Epoque who weer always happy to help the couple and myself to make sure we got all the important shots and the day ran smoothly.
The wedding was conducted by Your Ceremony whom were professional yet friendly and really put the couple and the guests at ease.
This couple are a beautiful couple and I wish them a very happy life together… congratulations Mr and Mrs Darlington.
I stayed throughout the wedding speeches, cutting the cake and then till after the first dance, although I would have stayed longer as the band was brilliant and I took a few opportunities to have a little dance myself as I was packing up.
