Knutsford and Mobberley and the surrounding villages are amazing communities filled with talent and independent entrepreneurs, I fully believe you could easily buy everything you need from local independent retailers and suppliers. As a local photographer I get to meet and work with so many of these lovely people, also as a Mum I have used many of there services over the years so here is a list of some of my favourites.
Why Shop Local in Knutsford?
Buying locally has lots of benefits to the Knutsford and Mobberley community and micro-economy.
- You invest in your local community – local services are more likely to invest locally themselves
- You provide jobs for the local community – the more you spend the more small businesses can invest back
- You get better customer service – you aren’t a faceless invoice but treated as a friend and neighbour and receive better service
- It is better for the environment – the carbon footprint on locally sourced supplies is much lower
- You get something unique – many independent retailers are producing quality handmade items rather than mass produced factory products
- Good quality for less money – you get well-priced products and services because you are paying for a local company, not adding on profits for shareholders, investors, huge overheads and transport costs, the profits are for the individual
“when you buy local you’re not helping a CEO get his 3rd holiday home,
you are helping a little girl get dance lessons, a little boy get team jerseys, a mum and dad put food on the table, a fmaily pay a mortgage, or a student pay for college”
